The Department of Languages and Mass Communication at Kathmandu University’s School of Arts (KUSOA) is organizing an International Seminar on Two Decades of the Sadharanikaran Model of Communication on Sunday, 26 May 2024 (that is, 13th of Jestha, 2081 B.S.).

Constructed in 2003 in Nepal, and further developed over the years, the Sadharanikaran Model of Communication is a globally renowned communication model that is currently taught in several universities across the World. Various scholars from different universities and different disciplines have been conducting further research based on this communication model. This international seminar provides an opportunity to revisit the two decades of the academic journey of an indigenous communication model. It also contributes to advancing the discourses on De-Westernization and Reorientation in the communication discipline. To be a part of this international seminar is a significant endeavor in reclaiming authenticity in communication.

The international seminar will consist of sessions on paper presentations, panel discussions, keynote speeches, and other knowledge-sharing opportunities. University Professors, young faculties, Ph.D. scholars, students, and communication professionals, as well as independent researchers, are cordially invited to participate.

Note: The international seminar will be organized in blended mode (both online and offline simultaneously). Confirmation will be sent to the applicants after review by the organizing committee.
